O valor da informação na preservação da cidadania numa festa popular

This work was developed at the First Independent Company of the Military Police of Senhor do Bonfim, in Bahia, aiming to demonstrate, that the contextualized information, transmitted by the correct methodological suport for the adult public, can promote behavioral changes and social transformation. The study organizes an intectiva construtive proposal raised within a continued reading of the context as a means of observing the dynamics of the lived, registered and analysed facts by the actors (the military policemen). The actors were oriented by a multidisciplinary team to perceive, understand and examine nets, plots and symbols and to reflect about the professional work of the police and about their selvs face to face with this world that represents the sum of objective and subjective elements. The activities were developed as an alternative way to increase the quality level of the security services, associating professional qualification and citizenship effectiveness.
