“EDUCATION AND POPULARIZATION IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY”

The paradidactic editorial line “Education and popularization in science and technology”, linked to the Permanent Publications Committee of the FFC, approved at an ordinary meeting on 06/13/2023, is characterized as a line of publication of books with informative content developed by teachers and researchers together with undergraduates, graduates, postgraduates undergraduates, postgraduates, administrative technical staff and the external community and proposes the democratization of scientific culture as a process of promoting citizenship, emancipation and social transformation.

GOALS:

Promote the popularization of academic knowledge by disseminating, recording and preserving the memory of knowledge consolidated in teaching, research and extension. Guidance to the general population regarding consolidated knowledge in any subject area. Socialize the knowledge produced in teaching, research and extension in a language that is accessible to everyone.

CHARACTERISTICS:

The production of information content and dissemination of knowledge may be presented in the format of a booklet, notebook or manual, preferably illustrated with images that have copyright, of individual authorship or of more authors containing more than one chapter.

EVALUATION PROCEDURES:

The evaluation will be carried out by an ad hoc reviewer appointed by the Permanent Research Committee after approval at an ordinary meeting. The evaluation process must take into account the potential for popularizing the consolidated knowledge of the manuscript and verify the language used to socialize the knowledge produced, whether in teaching, research or extension.

PUBLICATION PROCEDURES:

After merit assessment and review, the publication process will be carried out with normal procedures until the inclusion of the ISBN to be requested from the Marília Campus Library.
