RHIZOMATIC COUNTERDEVICES TO SHAKE KNOWLEDGE ORGANIZATION: A DECOLONIAL ATTEMPT
Synopsis
This essay is based on the desire to provide decolonial paths in the instrumental
scope of knowledge organization. The main objective is to speculate possibilities of
building counter-dispositifs as a decolonial alternative for knowledge organization
aiming at a rhizomatic approach. Therefore, some relations were proposed between the
concept of dispositif, of Foucault and Agamben, the concept of decoloniality, of some
Latin American researchers, the idea of an intercultural approach, by Natalia Duque
Cardona, and the rhizomatic perspective of Deleuze and Guattari. It is inferred, as a
result, that when freeing itself from the ordering and pre-established ties that operate
towards coloniality, roomed is made for a sudden becoming that can interfere with the
instruments that organize knowledge in order to resist the colonizing process itself.
